PSYCHOLOGY IN THE ERA OF METAVERSE

The program started with a welcome speech by Ms. Sheeren, assistant professor, Department of Psychology, Cochin College of Art and Sciences. The speaker conveyed the importance of psychology in the modern era and the influence of technology on the mind and behavior of people. Technology is improving its vast expanse day by day, in the age of the Metaverse the problem faced by people are increasing and they can’t be cured through the methods we are practicing, proper understanding and implementation of technology will help us to create a better future in Psychology. Our topic was related to technology so VR (Viral Reality) headsets and mobile phones were included in the section and active interaction with the participants. For students, it was their first experience of using VR and mobile phones in a seminar. The session concluded with feedback from student participants. 70 students and 4 teachers from both KMM and COCHIN COLLEGE participated in the session. The session was informative and created enthusiasm in the students. The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms. Ashya K Salim, HOD Department of Psychology KMM COLLEGE OF ARTS AND SCIENCES.
