On the 5th of June 2024, KMM College NSS Unit organized Environment Day celebrations at St.jospeh LPS Kakkanadu (Adopted School). The main aim of the event was to increase awareness among students about the importance of the environment and the need to protect it. Principal Ms. Sabana Backar (KMM College of Arts and Science, Thrikkakara) gave a speech on how important it is for future generations to take care of the environment and preserve it. Headmistress Ms. Soly Cherian (ST. Joseph LPS kakkanadu) gave a speech on what role the environment plays and why it is important for people to take initiatives to save the environment. Saplings were planted in the adopted school under the leadership of an NSS unit. NSS volunteers cleaned the school premises and created a vegetable garden. Programme officers Bijith M Bhaskar, Dhanya Kaladharan, Students Volunteers Fidha Aysha, Anjana Krishna conducted the program.
