SC/ST CELL
The aim of the SC/ST cell of the institute is to provide equal opportunity in education and employment so as to improve their social and educational status. The SC/ST cell of KMM College of Arts and Science, Thrikkakara was constituted in the year 2021 as per the UGC guidelines with the goal of empowering SC/ST students. The institution actively supports these students by providing guidance to get financial assistance from government agencies and ensuring proper implementation of central government, state Government scholarships, stipends and various schemes of the UGC.
AIM
- To create awareness among the SC/ST students regarding various scholarships available to them during their academic years.
- To councel and guide SC/ ST students of our institution and help them to manage academic and personal issues of college life.
- To ensure provisions of equality and equal opportunities where all such students feel safe and secure.
- To provide a platform to redress the grievance of SC/ST students, if any.
- To ensure the appropriate maintenance of reservation as provided in the constitution of India.
- To organize and execute special opportunities to enhance career growth.
Activities
- To collect information regarding the Government of India orders on the various aspects of education, and employment of SC/ST candidates.
- To circulate State Govt. and UGC’s decisions about different scholarship programs among students
- To communicate with the students and motivate them to utilize the scholarships and services to make their future better.
