Fashion designing is the most engaging and exciting career and also has become highly competitive all over the world. KMM College of Arts and Science, one of the best colleges in Kerala offers three years of Fashion Designing course to explore much in fashion industry about the fabrics, colour, designs, styles, texture, pattern making, etc. Fashion designing course helps the student to learn the various methods and new techniques to design clothes in a stylish way. The Fashion Designing course was first conceived in June,2013, affiliated to Mahatma Gandhi University. The curriculum designed by the University includes the topics like Fundamentals of apparel fashion designing, Fashion sketching, Basics of textile manufacturing, sewing techniques, Garment construction, Fabric analysis, Fashion accessories, draping techniques etc. As there is a huge requirement in the fashion industry, it is an ideal career for most of the people who wish to become a fashion designer by passion. KMM College makes every student professionals by teaching them all the required technical skills needed for both designing and outsourcing the product. Students who are interested to find the success in this field can pursue the right choice of the Fashion Designing Course at KMM College of Arts and Science, Thrikkakara.

- In today’s world, Fashion designing is one of the most remunerative, engaging, charming and exciting career choice which gives high pay to the talented people.
- By joining the Fashion houses, manufacturing and export units, they can launch their own label in the fashion industry.
- Exuding style in every design always possesses the ability to be creative which automatically helps to generate more revenue in this field.
- After the completion , the person can work independently or under the fashion houses, fashion show organizers, boutiques, several export houses etc.

Fashivo is a department association that fosters a community of fashion-loving students through events, workshops, and competitions. It offers hands-on experience through fashion shows, styling challenges, and guest lectures with industry professionals. Fashivo aims to bridge the gap between academia and the fast-paced fashion world.

MISSION
- To provide a collaborative platform for students to explore and express their talent and creativity through fashion events, workshops, and competitions.
- To bridge the gap between academic learning and industry expectations by offering practical experiences, mentorship, and industry insights.
Objectives
- Skill Development : To organize workshops, training sessions, and masterclasses that enhance students’ technical and creative skills in areas such as design, styling, textile selection, and garment construction.
- Industry Exposure : To facilitate interactions with fashion industry professionals, including designers, stylists, and influencers, through guest lectures, panel discussions, and mentorship programs.
- Practical Experience : To create hands-on opportunities through live projects, fashion shows, exhibitions, and styling events that allow members to apply their learning in real-world scenarios
- To provide a structured platform for students interested in modeling, helping them to develop confidence, poise, and a professional skill set. Fashivo aims to offer training sessions focused on posture, runway techniques, facial expressions, and body language, equipping members with the essentials of the modeling industry. Through practice sessions, fashion shows, and photo shoots, the association seeks to mold aspiring models by preparing them for real-world modeling opportunities.
